Creating this e-portfolio has allowed me to reflect upon my coursework and experiences in the education program at UNLV. By choosing lessons from the past three semesters and revising my educational philosophy from the very beginning of my journey I have been given the opportunity to look back at my growth. There are many items that did not make it into my portfolio, but I was still able to see how I used them and what role they played in my teaching development. My ASW, Lemov strategies, literacy courses, and information about Bloom’s Taxonomy have had a presence that can be seen in every one of my lessons. The education program and my experience in my internship has provided me with the opportunity to have my own growth as an educator as I now have a compilation of strategies and assessments that I can use going forward in order to be a teacher that embraces collaboration, a rigorous curriculum, engagement, and differentiation of instruction.
